Synopsis of Revelation

Pastor Kim Sung-chan has been pioneering a church in a small province for five years, but struggles to gather congregants. When the promised position of head pastor at a new church slips away and he discovers his wife’s infidelity, he begins to doubt his faith. Attempting to preach to a man who visits the church, he learns the man is an ex-convict wearing an electronic ankle monitor. As events unfold that day, the pastor comes to believe he has received a revelation that the man is the culprit.

Ryu Jun-yeol’s scheduled work for 2024

It is unlikely that the film “Revelation,” which is under consideration for casting, find its way to be released in 2024. However, Ryu Jun-yeol’s involvement in projects is expected to continue throughout 2024. First up is the movie “Alienoid 2,” eagerly awaiting its release on January 10 next year. The highly anticipated “Alienoid 1” in 2022, despite being one of the most anticipated Korean films, disappointed at the box office, drawing only 1.53 million viewers, far below the break-even point of 7.3 million. Moreover, considering the interconnected storyline between Part 1 and Part 2, the chances of a dramatic comeback in Part 2’s box office performance are slim.

Following “Alienoid 2,” the Netflix drama “The 8 Show” is scheduled for release in 2024. The 8-episode series, based on Naver webtoons “Money Game” and “Pie Game,” features Ryu Jun-yeol along with Cheon Woo-hee, Park Jung-min, Park Hae-jun, Bae Sung-woo, Lee Yeol-eum, Lee Joo-young, and Moon Jung-hee among its cast.
