Signal Season 2

The much-awaited confirmation of “Signal” Season 2 has arrived, delighting fans of the immensely popular drama that originally aired in 2016. The news was officially disclosed during a Hallyu event hosted at Sapienza University in Rome on March 13th. Both the esteemed writer of “Signal,” Kim Eun-hee, and the CEO of BJ Entertainment, Jang Won-seok, were present to confirm the exciting development.

Kim Eun-hee and Jang Won-seok, who previously collaborated on the SBS drama “The Devil” last year, are now gearing up for their next project together, “Signal Season 2.”

The acclaimed first season of “Signal” naturally sparked anticipation for its second installment among fans. Writer Kim Eun-hee has consistently voiced her determination to bring “Signal Season 2” to fruition. During a media interview coinciding with the release of Netflix’s “Kingdom: Ashin of the North” in 2021, she expressed, “There are undoubtedly untold stories left in “Signal,” so I have a strong desire and determination to create “Signal season 2″ in some way. I want to showcase it before I retire, no matter what.”

Moreover, the core cast members from “Signal Season 1,” including Lee Je-hoon, Kim Hye-soo, and Jo Jin-woong, have publicly expressed their willingness to participate in Season 2. This raises speculation about the potential return of Season 1 actors, aligning with Kim Eun-hee’s allusion to “untold stories” in “Signal.”

However, the news of “Signal Season 2” has unfortunately resulted in further delays for the release of “Kingdom Season 3.” Despite this setback, fans eagerly await updates on both series, with hopes that the next announcement after “Signal Season 2” will be about “Kingdom Season 3.”
