A Goryeo general who played a significant role during the second Khitan invasion. He was in charge of defending Heungwajin, the first line of defense against the Khitan invasion.

Initially leading the military despite Queen Cheonchu and the Kim Chi-yang faction’s opposition, he entered Gaegyung following the order of Mokjong.
